The imbalance of the three GUNAS is dramatically illustrated by VAMANA roopa of Sri NARAYANA. The three steps are the three GUNAS. The final step is the MIND.
Add intent of the Puranas. ONE OF THE MAIN SECTIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT IN THE SECOND PASS IS THE RATIONALE BEHIND DRAFTING OF THE PURANAS, THE FORMAT, THE STYLE, THE FLEXIBILITY, ABOVE ALL, ITS TIMELESSNESS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, ITS IMPACT ON ITS PRIME AUDIENCE, THE HUMAN MIND. ITS GLORIOUS STRENGTH IN MIXING THE TRUTH WITH NARRATIVES OF EVENTS. ITS ABILITY TO PLAY WITH HUMAN BELIEFS AND DISBELIEFS, ABOVE ALL ITS ABILITY TO TURN THE MIND INWARD TOWARDS EASWARA AND AWAY FROM THE "I".
One of the ways to incorporate the extracts from Bhagavatham is to take references to the roots of thought and associate them with the appropriate section in the web page. So the approach can be in two ways. One is to provide a description of the stories and give an analysis of the meaning in relation to the thought process/Atma/evolution of the mind. The other is to take extracts from Bhagavatham and attach it to specific sections of the web page. Both approaches should be followed and will help reinforce the flow of the narrative.
Attempt to relate each page to the corresponding Puranas and add a sub page with a more detailed explanation of the concept. (or should this be in Phase 3)?
The Puranas should be listed and a summarization of the objectives of each and the references to the leading commentaries should be listed.
Include a section on Upanishads
Interpretative possibilities of the Puranas, leading to self development of the mind and growth.
IT MUST BE KEPT IN MIND THAT THE PURANAS DO NOT ADDRESS METHODS OF SUCCESS IN THIS LIFE. THE FOCUS IS ON ATTAINING THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF LIFE, WHICH IS REALIZATION OF THE SELF. However, the PURANAS DO STRONGLY IMPLY THAT IF THE FOCUS IS ON REALIZATION OF THE SELF AND ALL WORK IS DIRECTED TOWARDS ATTAINING THAT GOAL, THEN THE PROBLEMS OF THE MATERIAL WORLD WILL RECEDE INTO THE BACKGROUND AND WILL NOT BOTHER THE INDIVIDUAL ANY LONGER.

THE PARAMATHMA EXPECTS ALL OF US TO REACH HIM BY USING OUR MINDS (WHICH HE HAS ENDOWED IN US).
The Puranas only refer to the Mind. They must be read only with reference to the attributes of the mind. In many ways, the events described in the Puranas seemingly relate to the physical world, but the context is the mind. Any battle ground described relate only to the battle ground of or mind from which thought is born. Likewise, the characters described relate only to the different attributes of our own mind.
Major credits should be given to Sringeri Matt and extracts from Swamiji's book should be included with credits and referencing.
Swamiji saw the four parts of each person's life. Brahmachari, Grahastha, Vanaraprastha etc____
The eternal question of whether the PURANAS were REAL or UNREAL must be addressed.
Since the “I” is not considered the real self, and is infact a delusion of the mind, Moksham applies to the Atman and not to the “I”.
The difference between good and evil as portrayed in the Puranas, is the fundemental aspect that the Good stands alone. Evil is scared of itself and needs to invoke the opposing force in a reflection in order to confirm its own "superiority". This manifests as the inflection of suffering in other beings.
Thought in an evil mind does not originate unless it can generate conflict through its reflection. This is the mark of inferiority (that it cannot stand on its own, without an opposite).
The Paramathma demonstrates his skills on the battlefield of Kurukshethra in the Gita and with the various Asuras in Srmad Bhagavatham only to establish that Good or Dharma previals over their opposites.
Though Gnanam, Karma and Bhakthi are apparantly three separate paths, Gnanam cannot be attained without Bhakthi and Karmic experiences. Attainment of Gnanam of the self is the ultimate goal, but without Bhakthi and discharge of Karma, Gnanam will not happen.
The Puranas also inculcate the basic tenets of Bhakthi, which is an essential ingredient to traverse this ocean of life (the path from ignorance to knowledge).
To attain Moksham, the Puranas require that a life of renounciation must have been led. It is not essential that one should have led life as a sanyasi. It is however essential that in having passed through the various phases of having been a student, a bachelor, a householder and a retiree, one must have lived as prescribed by the Shastras for each of these phases.
Explain how the Puranas use the characters to explain the amshams within us. The use of animals that can talk, characters with extraordinary powers etc. are in the narrative only to expose the different aspects of our own thought process. So each character is a building block of thought.
Extraordinary events can happen only in one place, the thought process.
When a physical devise is invented, the lesson learned should be the aspects of thought that and events experienced that led to the device and not the device or its impact - the Maya should be turned back on the inner reality.
