Slokam 1
The Paramathma gives Yashoda yet another hint of who He actually is. Once when drinking milk, lying on the lap of Yashoda, the Paramatha opens His little mouth to yawn. Yashoda is absolutely amazed to see the entire universe within His mouth. The Paramathma displays His identity and prowess to all of us very moment of our lives. Not many of us are able to see Him for what He is because of the ignorance of our own self.
Our entire life, is meant to demonstrate the prowess of the Paramathnma. Since many of us may not understand the implication, the explanation of our life experiences is provided in the Ithihasas and Puranas. In addition the commentaries of the gurus, their explanations and interpretations, throw immense light on the consequences, implications and objectives of this life.
The universe that the Paramathma shows Yashoda to be in His Mouth, has the implication that we along our environment are within Him. There is nothing that is beyond the Paramathma. Yet He allows us the freedom and wants us to discover life and its meaning all by “ourselves”. He holds our hands and guides us through life like children, with the objective that we will learn to walk the path by ourselves and become fit to attain Him.
May we ever view all our attributes as the endowment and miracle of the Paramathma.
