Slokam 2
The Paramathma had developed teeth that were visible in His smile. The Paranmathma’s hair lock is slightly dispersed on His face, His Heels and the Soles of His Feet are like Lotus Flowers. His bracelets and armlets were slipping down His wrist. When we think of the ornaments that the Paramathma is wearing, the tinklets on His feet and the lock of hair on His forehead, our consciousness is able to fix the mind on the visual of the Paramathma, without it wandering.Wealso develop a mental intimacy with the Paramathma, which is very important, as we get to know Him and need to form a long standing firm relationship.
We never physically see the form of the Paramathma, as we would see Him in a mental visualization. Although all that we see in life is the manifestation of the Paramathma, we cannot hold one image in our mind steadfastedly. So our panacea would be to visualize His form in as great a detail as possible. Although the Paramathma may have no fixed form, shape or size, it helps concentrate our minds if we can hold Him in a Human form. Yet the human form of the Paramathma has to be slightly different from our own. We will not hold His image in our mind, if He was a replicaof typical human being. This is why, He is colored a radiant blue, has four arms, each holding one of His bestowments, wears a number of jewels, each with its own special radiance and attribute, and clothes are a bright yellow, that contrasts with the blue form. The best of all however, is the classic expression of a little bemused smile, sharp see through x-ray eyes that , the flute in His Hands and a jewel studded turban.
So we have a number aspects that we can focus on when we think of the Paramathma.
His visual presence in our minds will not only drive away our demonic nature, it will be continually protective, inspirational and motivational force.
There are an infinite number of images and variations in His image that we can ponder and dwell upon.
May we, with continued consistency, ever dedicate our consciousness to the Paramathma.
