Slokam 8
Sage Garga explains to Nandagopa that the child would conquer demons and give liberation to those who are intimately attached to Him. Sage Garga further explains that Nandagopa would hear of the blemishless glory of the child sung by the people.
Nandagopa hears the glories that are going to unravel in the Paramathma’s life.
Sage Garga is obviously an elevated soul that has the knowledge of the Paramathma’s identity. That knowledge is attained by many lifetimes of spiritual practice. The Sage is trying to convey to Nandagopa that that the child possesses extraordinary powers and needs to be treated as an avatar of Sriman Narayana. This is to give Nandagopa advance notice so that he knows that the child may perform out-of-ordinary miracles. In many ways the Sage is prepping Nandagopa so he is not be bewildered by the happenings.
When we invoke the Paramathma within us, we will experience many miracles in our lives that help us overcome the asuras within us. Likewise when we deviate from the Paramathma, there will be a small rap on our knuckles to bring us back on the right track.
May we never deviate from the path of Bhakthi. May we ever maintain the Paramathma in peace within us, free of the conflict and contradiction, fear and insecurity.
