Slokam 7
The women of Vraja develop a special attachment to the Paramathma. After completing their daily chores, they make sure that they visit the home of Nandagopa to see the Paramathma and derive complete bliss from the good fortune of being able to see His physical form. Although they were unaware of His true identity, the very sight of Him filled them with great joy.
The women discussed among themselves the bewitching smile and enchantment of His childish appearance.
The Vraja women are experiencing the direct physical presence of the Paramathma, That experience is a privilege that Maharishis and Sanyasis will have difficulty in getting even after a thousand years of tapas and meditation.
The residents of Vraja are experiencing the benefits of the presence of the Paramathma without realizing His physical presence.
Our experience of consciousness is also without the realization of the direct presence of the Paramathma.
The women of Vraja are fascinated by the physical appearance and draw great inspiration from visually drinking in His image. Their fascination of wanting to see Him again and again is their blessing.
In the Kali Yugam, it has been said that the Paramathma will not take the swaroopam of an avatar, except for the final appearance as Kalki, to dissolve the universe.
We have however been endowed with the knowledge of His supreme presence in all manifestations, events and experiences. This is the blessing in the age of Kali. However, the challenges are the distractions, fears and insecurities of everyday existence that do no allow even a moment to peacefully meditate on the Paramathma. To transcend the fears of life in Kaliyugam and to be in the meditation of the Paramathma, requires a great deal of effort that is not easy for most of us. Temptation, fear, success and failure, alternatingly cause enormous problems in the mind that can fill our consciousness with misery. To enable the dwelling of our consciousness in the Paramathma, we should be able to bring the mind to a state of peace and tranquility.
The only way to make this transition from total panic and hopelessness to that of tranquility, peace and meditation, is to unequivocally see the hand of the Paramathma in everything that we perceive and experience.
In the Kali Yugam, we cannot wait for our problems to go away. They will not go away.
May we ever see problems as a blessing from the Paramathma to guide us to the correct path. We also have to see the problems as a reason to detach from the entanglements with worldly existence.
