Slokam 6
Yogamaya tells Kamsa from her location in mid air that Kamsa’s killer is already born elsewhere. Yogamaya does not tell him that the Paramathma was actually born in the jail and was transported elsewhere. That would have gotten a lot of innocent guards into trouble.
Sri Bhattadri goes onto say that Yogamaya was praised by the Marutganas.
It is further mentioned that Yogamaya, as the incarnate of goddess Durga, retuns to her own place. She is said to have manifested simultaneously in many temples on this earth.
The temples of India and their deities each have an illustrious history. Yagamaya’s sacrifice as a new born is immense. The result of this tyagam, is manifested in the deity in each temple. As the Paramathma tells Arjuna in the Bhagavath Gita, it is only himself that manifests as the various deities, each with its own unique power of endowment. When we prey to the deity with our requests, the Paramathma fixes our faith in the deity by granting the request. The Paramathma clearly says that all deities are but His own various forms.
May we ever behold the Paramathma unflinchingly in our minds.
