Slokam 6
Vasudeva extolls the Paramathma as the veritable shear that cuts off the creepers of human woes. Vasudeva’s description is very apt, since the Paramathma’s very basic requirement is to drop all attachments to people and objects. One simple way is to relate to all people and objects only through the Paramathma.
Vasudeva also describes the Paramathma as “one who looks equanimously at all living beings”. The Paramathma does not differentiate between beings. He comes to the aid of everyone that requests it. All are His creations. Taking a step back, are we not all the reflection of his supreme self? Is this world not a manifestation of the supreme self?
Vasudeva clearly states this universal permeance of the Paramathma, when he refers to Him in this slokam as “One who manifests in all Your segments”.
Ultimately, when it comes to finding the path to moksham, there is only one relationship that we need to develop. That relationship is the surrender to the Paramathma. The initiative for building this relationship should be taken by us. Life offers enough suffering and defeat for us to be able to easily move away from it and reach out to the ever extended hand of the Paramathma.
