Slokam 3
Indira had stood his ground, fought with Bali, but had lost. He had not run away. Bali was just too powerful. In such instances, the Paramathma always intervenes to defeat the asuras and restores the devas to their correct position.
At the conclusion of the Payovrata, Paramathma appears before Aditi. The bluish form of the Paramathma with four arms assures Aditi that He would be born as a Son to her. The Paramathma requested Aditi that His identity should be kept confidential.
The Paramathma’s birth on this earth is always as an “ordinary” child, who goes through all the stages of life that an ordinary child goes through.
The Paramathma wants His identity to be not published because that would defeat the very objective that He is born on earth for. His identity is known only to those with Bhakthi. He performs many magical acts that are observed by many. But few see Him as the ultimate power. The Gopis and Gopas of Vrindavan are truly devoted to Him and recognize His true identity. Not so the others who see Him as one among themselves. He not only is sought to be killed by Kamsa, but also foul mouthed by Shishupala, not chosen by Dhuryodhana over the Yadava army, accused of stealing the Syamantaka Jewel. Sri Ramas wife Sita is accused of not being virtuous, Sri Krishna is pursued by ever so many demons, who do not know His identity. Arjuna himself realizes the true identity only when the Paramathma shows him his true form only on the battle ground of Kurukshetra. Arjuna apologizes profusely for having treated Him as a friend.
As a matter of fact every object of perception is manifestation of the Paramathma. May we be aware of His presence in every breath that we take.
