Live your lives and perform your assigned functions, without any attachment and without looking to the rewards from the action. Do not try to take ownership of the cause and results of your actions.

We are all born with the power to experience our Karma. This ability to experience a fixed sequence of events signals the birth of the Human Intellect. Karma helps to grow the mind by constantly subjecting it to opposing forces and experiences. The primary force among these is Pleasure and Pain (both physical and mental). Unable to bear these conflicting experiences, the mind begins to seek release from an existence about which it knows nothing. |
Our thought process is the only vehicle that can enables us to obtain release from these complicated sequence of events, over which we (seemingly) have no control. KARMA REPRESENTS THE STARTING POINT OF THE JOURNEY TO DISCOVER ONE's "OWN" INNER SELF AND TO GRADUATE TO A HIGHER LEVEL OF EXISTENCE. THE TRUE INNER SELF IS DOES NOT HAVE ANY WORLDLY LIMITATIONS. THE TRUE INNER SELF IS A STATE OF MIND THAT IS BEYOND THE FORCES OF TRANSCIENCE AND CHANGE. THE PATH THAT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN TO ATTAIN THIS STATE OF MIND AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ABILITY TO REMAIN ON THIS PATH DESPITE ADVERSE EXTERNAL EVENTS IS THE LESSON THAT WE LEARN FROM THE PURANAS. THE ABOVE IS THE ESSENCE OF THE PARAMATHMA's BHAGAVATH GITA AND SRIMAD BHAGAVATHAM. The Paramathma, through the Puranas shows us the only path that leads us out of the limitations that we experience in this circle of births and deaths. |
If we allow the primary driving forces of Karma, viz., desire, pleasure, success in the material world, etc. to drive our thouhts, then there is no release to a higher level. We experience KARMA every moment of our existence. Yet we do not realize that these sequence of events and the power to perceive them have been given to us and that that they are not our creation. We attempt to take ownership and develop attachments to objects that are completely alien to our true inner self.
These basic roots and motivators can trap one's thought in an unending cycle, from which it is very difficult to evolve and escape. If one is trapped in this cycle, Karma perpetuates from one life to the next., until the mind evolves to a point at which Karmic forces are subdued by the Mind.
TRANSFORMATION OF THE MOTIVATORS AND DRIVING FORCES OF OUR THOUGHT PROCESS IS THE ONLY PATH THAT IS RECOMMENDED BY THE PARAMATHMA.
IN A NUTSHELL, KARMA INITIATES THE HUMAN THOUGHT PROCESS AND SOWS THE SEEDS OF CONFLICT AND DOUBT THAT CAUSE THE INTELLECT TO BE SET ON THE PATH OF EVOLUTION.
THE PATH AND THE STEPS TO BE TAKEN TO REMAIN ON THIS PATH ARE EXPLORED IN GREATER DETAIL IN THE SUBSEQUENT SECTIONS OF THIS wEB PAGE.
